De hoogste toppen van de Alpen zijn plotseling zichtbaar, net als de ruige pieken van de Dolomieten . Ze zijn prachtig om naar te kijken, de majestueuze pieken. Maar het is nog mooier om helemaal boven op het bergtopkruis te zitten en alleen maar naar beneden te kunnen kijken, omdat er boven alleen maar lucht is.
Zuid-Tirol is de perfecte plek om ervaring op te doen met tochten op grote hoogte en te proeven van de hoogte boven de drieduizend meter. Bekende namen als Löffler, Similaun en Ortles zijn bekend bij bergliefhebbers, en ze zijn allemaal bereikbaar vanuit Zuid-Tirol.
Je hebt wel een zekere conditie nodig om meer dan 1.500 hoogtemeters te overbruggen en 8 uur per dag op de been te zijn. Maar maak je geen zorgen, veel alpiene tochten in Zuid-Tirol kunnen ook in twee dagen worden voltooid. De eerste dag naar de hut en de volgende dag naar de top. Dit bespaart energie en is ook erg leuk in de hutten.
Hier presenteren we enkele van de mooiste alpentochten in Zuid-Tirol. Ze vereisen allemaal een goede conditie en ervaring met tochten op grote hoogte. Moeilijk zijn ze echter niet: er worden alleen normale routes beschreven. De juiste uitrusting voor alpiene tochten is echter altijd een must!
