Wellness Sporthotel Ratschings

This was our first time staying at the WSH as a couple. There's absolutely nothing to complain about; we were completely satisfied and felt welcome from the moment we arrived. The room was top-notch, the food was excellent, and the service and reception staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. Even our request to have the sauna turned on earlier was handled very kindly. Bath towels for the sauna are also provided, which isn't always a given. The new addition with the fitness room, indoor and outdoor pools is simply fantastic, as is the entire (mountain) scenery, which we're already familiar with from our home region . The Wellness Sporthotel is truly an excellent hotel. The spa isn't huge, but it's welcoming and well-maintained, perfect for relaxing after a day in the mountains. The location is ideal for skiers, being practically next to the chairlift. The rooms are spacious, clean, and tastefully furnished, while the staff is exceptionally kind and helpful. The food is also impressive: both dinner and breakfast offer high-quality, generous dishes. A place that combines comfort, relaxation, and excellent services, perfect for a vacation in Vipiteno.

Super convenient, Anni and her family were very welcoming. Quiet, well organized, the food was amazing. Just near the cable car. Exactly what we needed as a family. We will come back in winter

Beautiful hotel, strategic but not very beautiful location (on the roadside)

We chose the hotel based on reviews. The location is right below the Racines-Giovo ski slope. The room is quite large with a balcony, simply furnished, the bathroom is large. Be careful, the room is missing a fridge and kettle, which should probably be standard in a 4* hotel. The hotel has an indoor and outdoor pool for adults, which children also go to, but no one checks it. There is also an indoor children's pool and a sauna world, which is small but functional. It was not crowded during our stay in July. The hotel offers half board. I found the breakfasts modest, but sufficient. Eggs made to order at the table are super fresh. They have good cappuccino. Dinner is served, choice from the menu plus a salad bar - weak. The taste of the food is as good as ever, sometimes great, sometimes a tragedy. The service in the restaurant is great, the ladies are pleasant, fast, helpful. The prices of drinks are crazy. There was a reconstruction of a sister hotel in the vicinity of the hotel, which no one told us when booking, otherwise I would have chosen another place. However, we were mostly out of the hotel during the day. The hotel doesn't have room access cards, you get a classic key with a half-kilo key ring The advantage is free garage parking.

This location has many advantages, but also some glaring disadvantages, which is why I didn't give it a high rating. This location is certainly wonderful for a skier or a family. It's directly in front of ski lifts with varying levels of difficulty, and in the summer you can bring your own bikes up and then cycle back down to the hotel—fun guaranteed! The hotel is nestled in the closed Racines Valley, so it's not affected by the noise of passing cars and trucks, despite being completely adjacent to the road connecting Stanghe/Vipiteno. The place is really nice and quiet; there isn't much of a view of the high mountains, but I prefer tranquility to much more famous places. The hotel is very dated and located under a wing of a hotel undergoing complete reconstruction. The rooms appear partially renovated, although in my opinion a little more effort in the renovation would have significantly improved the overall image. As soon as you enter the room, you're perplexed by the total lack of modernization of the room's entrance door, which has a manual key and doesn't lock automatically (you have to lock it when you leave the room, otherwise anyone can come in). Also questionable is the half-kilo keychain from another era, which you'll always realize you have with you when it's left in your pocket. :) Inside the room, you get the truly minimal and dated feel, with furnishings from another era, lacking character, and missing accessories that are truly perplexing. They've chosen to equip the room with electric shutters instead of curtains, which are good for limiting noise, but are also pleasing to the eye! There's no built-in refrigerator, no water heater for making tea or coffee, a bed with a footboard that's not easy for people with mobility issues, white hospital-like walls, a small TV that seems thrown in; if it were a little bigger, hanging it would have been much nicer... it leaves a bit of a bad taste in the mouth and makes you leave the room quickly, yet it has a nice, large bathroom. They installed a beautiful glass shower stall on a large, raised tray, and they didn't add handles or non-slip mats for elderly or limping people like me. The afternoon room staff was lacking. I had only asked for an extra pillow, which arrived after 7 hours and 2 calls. Large, comfortable room, but lacking in comfort, anonymous! What a shame! Cleanliness and helpfulness of the staff were excellent, but attention to detail was lacking everywhere, the hallway to the rooms was anonymous with old-fashioned lighting! Only half board is available, but be careful: there aren't many services outside, a supermarket if you can call it that... 40 square meters, no choice, and it's only open for a few hours. The only three restaurants in the entire valley are allowed to close on Mondays or Tuesdays during the high season. If you don't have a car, you'll have to tighten your belt at lunchtime :). Wellness... the indoor pool is questionable with water that seems cold, they say 27 degrees but to me it seemed much colder, at least that's why there was never anyone there :) 4 meters away there is a separate small pool with a hot hydromassage as it should be where obviously when there were 10 people it seemed very crowded. The part that takes up the hydromassage is 50% of the pool itself. At least put a headrest on the hydromassage. You are in a position where you cannot rest your head because you are under the water level. The grass in the garden where you sunbathe is absolutely not cared for and is full of crazy grass that has nothing to do with the grass on the terrace. They write that this is the pool for adults but no one checks if it fills up with noisy children, a shame! It's very disheartening! This would be the right place for saunas, but instead they are on the opposite side of the building near the large and deserted family pool.... Small saunas, but welcoming, clean and with good facilities, but too far if you come from

An oasis of relaxation and an active holiday: Highly recommended! Our stay at the Wellness Sport Hotel Ratschings was simply phenomenal and exceeded our expectations in every way. From the very first minute, we felt incredibly comfortable and in excellent hands. The hotel impresses with its fantastic location amidst the picturesque mountains of South Tyrol. Whether you want to hike in the summer or ski in the winter, the starting point is perfect. But even away from nature, the hotel itself offers a comprehensive range of services that leave nothing to be desired. The fantastic wellness area is particularly noteworthy. Here you'll find everything your heart desires: various saunas, a steam bath, whirlpools, and beautiful relaxation rooms that invite you to unwind. The treatments we enjoyed were professional and soothing – pure relaxation for body and soul. The indoor pool is also spacious and inviting for a swim. The hotel also offers a variety of options for sports enthusiasts. The fitness room is modernly equipped, and there are numerous options for guided hikes and other activities. There's truly something for everyone here! The cuisine is an absolute highlight. Every evening, we were treated to delicious and varied menus, including both regional specialties and international dishes. The quality of the ingredients was excellent, and the presentation of the food was meticulous. The breakfast buffet also leaves nothing to be desired and offers a huge selection. The service was outstanding. The entire staff was always attentive, friendly, and helpful. You can feel the warmth and passion with which they work here. Special requests were always happily accommodated, and you felt truly valued as a guest. The rooms are very tastefully furnished, spacious, and offer wonderful views of the surrounding landscape. Everything was spotlessly clean and very well maintained. In summary, we can wholeheartedly recommend the Wellness Sport Hotel Ratschings. It's the perfect place to escape from everyday life, recharge your batteries, and create unforgettable vacation memories. We will definitely be back!

The hotel is located just a few meters from the ski lifts. The spa is excellent and the three pools are stunning. The restaurant, table service, and reception service were impeccable. I'll definitely be back.
