The Apartments Walderhof are situated in the sunny village of Meransen, at 1,560 meters above sea level, on the entrance of the Pustertal valley. Here, lovers of nature can relax in the middle of untouched forests, green fields and a wonderful panoramic view. Enjoy the beautiful view to the green Pustertal and the sunny Eisacktal.

A cosy & family-friendly place

Our house disposes of modern and cosy apartments which are furnished with every comfort. On request, we can bring you in the morning fresh bread and milk in your apartment. During your stay in our guesthouse Walderhof you'll never be bored: When the kids enjoy playing Ping-Pong, table-top football or on the playground outside, parents have time to relax. Wi-Fi internet is available for free.

When you love sports and activities outside, Meransen is the right place for you. Discover the country life and start out for wonderful hikes and mountain bike tours. In the winter, the dreamlike slopes of the near skiing area Gitschberg-Jochtal are waiting for you!

The Walderhof isn't just another soulless hotel; with its working farm and four generations living there, it's a true slice of South Tyrol that you're immediately immersed in, thanks to the hosts' boundless friendliness. It was the best place we've ever stayed.

We spent a magical holiday at the Walderhof in Maranza, hosted by the wonderful Hinterlechner family. Peter, Herta, Simon, and Nadia welcomed us with authentic and genuine hospitality, making us feel part of the family from day one. Our son Tommaso was able to truly experience farm life: helping in the stables, being near the cows grazing, and discovering the farming work firsthand. A memory he will cherish forever is the moment Simon helped him fulfill his dream of holding a rooster: the joy on his face was priceless. Every morning, breakfast was enriched with fresh milk and fresh eggs: authentic mountain flavors. A special mention also goes to Alex, the farm dog, so sweet and always ready to be cuddled. The Walderhof and the Hinterlechner family have remained in our hearts. We hope to return soon to relive this wonderful experience. A heartfelt thank you to Peter, Herta, Simon, and Nadia: we will never forget you!

A fantastic place, both in terms of location and structure, for those seeking tranquility and relaxation, yet close to all services and amenities. Simon and his family welcomed us and made us feel at home. Every morning we woke up to fresh milk and eggs from their own farm. I highly recommend a vacation in this wonderful place!

What can I say? Beautiful apartment with an exceptional panoramic view! Excellent service with milk, bread, and fresh eggs every day! And if you're lucky enough to have a barbecue, inviting the owners to eat with you, the experience is complete! Thank you for a wonderful stay.

The owners are very kind and helpful. The apartment is equipped with everything you need, very well furnished and clean. The view from the apartment is very beautiful.

The host was very accommodating when we initially changed our booking and arrival date. The bread roll service and egg and milk service were very good. Peter was very kind to the children, who were allowed to help out in the cow and chicken coops and had plenty of freedom. He was very kind to the children and very nice to us as grandparents. He always had good leisure tips and special excursion destinations at the ready. Even after his long day at work, he still made time for us guests.
