Hotel Meinhardt

We had a wonderful short break at the Hotel Bellavista Meinhardt in Schenna. We received a warm welcome upon arrival and immediately received our South Tyrol guest pass via email. The staff member immediately explained everything we needed to know – from meal times to the activities on offer – truly attentive service. Breakfast: The breakfast buffet was plentiful and varied. I particularly like the fact that special requests were fulfilled immediately – my request for fresh onions and parsley was brought directly to our table. Additionally, scrambled or fried eggs can be ordered fresh in all variations, which further enhances the experience. The WMF fully automatic coffee machine in the buffet room also ensures a great start to the day. A small note: a little more vegetable selection at the buffet would have been nice, but otherwise, it was excellent. Dinner: The 4-course evening menu was excellent, varied, and offered something for every taste. The selection is easily checked in the morning. We particularly liked the salad buffet as a starter. Wellness area: Very clean and pleasant – the saunas are well-maintained, and the Kneipp watercourse was a refreshing change. Perfectly adequate for relaxing after a day of hiking. Rooms: Here's the only minor drawback: We booked through HolidayCheck and were given room 105 on the ground floor/basement. Several inverters for the photovoltaic system are mounted directly on the exterior wall. During the day, this caused an unpleasant humming noise in the room when the sun was shining. Although it was quiet in the evening, we still found the installation location a bit unfortunate – also because each device generates its own Wi-Fi network. For our next stay, we would definitely choose a room upstairs. Conclusion: Overall, it was a very pleasant stay with great food, friendly service, and a good location right on the Schenner Waalweg (Waal Trail) – perfect as a starting point for excursions. Despite the limitations of the room, we would be happy to come back!

This was our first time at the Hotel Meinhardt and we really enjoyed it – the view, the food, and the very nice, new rooms. From the hotel, the walk through the apple orchards to the mountains is a dream.

Highly recommended We spent a week at this fantastic hotel and really enjoyed it. The rooms are fantastic and furnished to a high standard. All the staff are very welcoming and extremely friendly. We booked half board and were not disappointed at all. Dinner consisted of four courses, with at least two choices. Breakfast and dinner were very varied. We had a fantastic vacation with wonderful memories and will definitely be back!

We stayed for 6 nights at this 4-star hotel above Scena, surrounded by apple orchards and vineyards. It's in an excellent and strategic location, just steps from the wonderful irrigation channel trail, which leads to other trails and cable cars. Spacious and spotless rooms, a swimming pool and hot tub with a sunbathing lawn. The spa area offers hot herbal teas and relaxing beds. In the morning, a generous breakfast buffet awaits you with a selection of savory, sweet, and fruit dishes. Evening dinner features appetizers, a salad buffet, and carefully prepared main courses. The staff is extremely kind and professional. We'll definitely return.

Above Schenna, amidst apple orchards. A very quiet location, pleasant service, and excellent food. If you prefer, you can leave your car there; the bus runs four times an hour. The market and the Laubengasse alley in Merano are a must-see.

This was our first time at the Hotel Meinhardt and we were very pleased. The hotel is nestled between apple orchards with views of the valley and the mountains. The rooms are clean, the staff is very friendly and attentive, and the food is also very good. We would be happy to return.

6 days of pampering vacation. We have been enjoying family hospitality for over 20 years, the location, facility, service, food. Everything is great. Recommended. If you have the sun of South Tyrol in your heart and the food from Hotel Meinhardt in your stomach, then you are happy and full
