Alpine Lifestyle Hotel Ambet

A breathtaking place.

We had a wonderful five nights at the Hotel Ambet and felt at home from the very beginning. The infinity pool and the excellent cuisine are particularly noteworthy. From breakfast to the cake buffet to the five-course dinner, all the dishes were of very high quality and lovingly prepared. There was a vegetarian option for every course, which was also delicious. The hotel is perfectly located for several hikes. We were able to start our hikes on foot every day. We would love to come back!

Go for the infinity pool! We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel Ambet that’s been family run for 3 generations. The meals tasted delicious and it was convenient to not have to think about meals after a day of hiking. The hotel was located about an hour drive to Alpe di Siusi, Seceda, and Val Gardena. The hotel recommended more local hikes which were less crowded, also with stunning views.

A wonderful mid-August holiday in this splendid hotel: welcoming, family-friendly, and quiet—in short, a place to rest and relax... well, after the various hiking, e-bike, and other activities the Pusteria Valley has to offer. The hotel features an indoor pool with spa in the basement, a fantastic sauna with a view on the third floor, and a stunning infinity pool overlooking the valley and the village of Maranza on the fourth floor. For this holiday, we opted for the 3/4 board option, and everything was perfect. The dinner was delicious, with captivating and delicious gourmet dishes, and afternoon snacks were available from 2 to 5 pm. In the evening, we enjoyed a quiet and peaceful gin and tonic, playing cards, and recharging our batteries for the next day. This hotel and the village were wonderful discoveries. If I really had to find a flaw, but it's more of a suggestion, I'd upgrade the lounger area on the fourth floor for the infinity pool. Sometimes people come up after a day of sports and find all the loungers full, which can be a bit disappointing. This can happen in the summer, and in the winter, many people prefer the indoor pool. But trust me, the heated outdoor pool in the winter with the snow falling is an incredible sight. Highly recommended if you're looking for a holiday full of relaxation, tranquility, and sports. Absolutely top!

Hotel Ambet, one year later. I absolutely confirm my very positive assessment of this hotel as being of an excellent standard for its location, cleanliness, cuisine, organization, and hospitality. Congratulations to the Rieder family for their kindness and the perfect team they've built, who, with their professionalism, ensure a unique holiday. Everything is taken care of. The pool on the fourth floor is a little gem, as is the panoramic sauna and a truly stunning view. I've recommended the Hotel Ambet to friends who have visited, and they confirm everything I've written. Maranza, a place I was completely unfamiliar with until 12 months ago, offers a very pleasant, peaceful, and relaxing holiday, also offering the opportunity for pleasant and, above all, healthy walks.

The hotel had beautiful rooms, delicious food, and a particularly fantastic spa area. It's not the biggest, but the panoramic sauna and infinity pool are simply amazing. We found the beds too hard, but they gave us a softer mattress upon request, and we slept wonderfully!

We had a wonderful stay at the Alpine Lifestyle Hotel Ambet. The hotel is very modern, tastefully decorated, and features lots of wood. Our room was very pretty, with a balcony and a beautiful view of the mountains, which were illuminated by the setting sun in the evening – very romantic! The room was also decorated with lots of wood; it didn't feel unpleasantly luxurious, but rather very stylish and high-quality. The rooftop pool is simply fantastic and opens early in the morning, so you can swim a few laps before breakfast. The hotel never seemed crowded, which was also noticeable around and in the pool. When most guests were out around lunchtime, you could take a day off by the pool and be practically alone on the roof. In the basement, there's another indoor pool if the weather isn't great, as well as a wellness area with separate loungers, a steam bath, and a sauna – all beautifully furnished. There's another wellness area on the third floor, with a sauna and loungers. We didn't try out this sauna, but everything looked very, very nice. There are some beautiful tours in the surrounding area if you'd like to go hiking. We really enjoyed the tour to the Fane Alm; once you get there, it's picturesque, like something out of a fairytale. We also took a trip to Lake Braies (Lago di Braies). You should be there around 7:00 a.m., so you should leave the hotel by 6:00 a.m. at the latest. Since we missed breakfast, the Rieder family prepared a packed lunch for us, which we received the evening before. Once again, they were very attentive and accommodating, and it tasted great. Overall, the food was excellent. The breakfast left nothing to be desired, and egg dishes were prepared right in front of you. There was the option to squeeze your own juice, which we also really enjoyed. Dinner was very special. There were several courses; starting with a salad buffet, a daily changing soup, followed by two dishes and a dessert to round it all off. We thoroughly enjoyed the food and were always full. We particularly appreciated the staff, who served guests very attentively, attended to even the smallest requests, and maintained a family-like atmosphere.
