The family-run Hotel Traminerhof is located in Tramin near Lake Kaltern and is the ideal place to relax, unwind and enjoy sport. As a member of the Bikehotels Südtirol, the hotel has many extras to offer all cycling enthusiasts. The Traminerhof has existed for centuries and is a meeting place for mountain bikers, good food and good company. Tramin is a special place, just waiting to be discovered, home of the famous white wine ‘Gewürztraminer’, which takes its name from the village.

Cosy rooms and garden with swimming pool

The rooms and suites have partially been renovated and offer any comfort, stylish elements as well as a balcony or a terrace. You can make your reservation quickly and flexibly only with breakfast or with half board. The new outdoor area with pool, relax garden and comfortable lounges is a cool retreat, with the risk to "stay longer". Relax in our sauna area, in the indoor children’s pool and adventure pool as well as during the yoga lessons with Judith. In the evening, the brand-new Bar 62 allows you to spend wonderful moments with special drinks and chilling beats. The new restaurant offers a cool gourmet concept – totally flexible and individual.

For those who love cycling and more

Bike fans will love staying in our Traminerhof. The hotel has its own bike rental, a video-monitored bike garage, a washing area, a service corner with tools and drying devices for bike outfits and shoes. The host himself is a certified bike guide and will be pleased to help you with your tour planning. Guided tours for mountain bikes and road bikes are organized as well. In the surroundings of the hotels, there are countless hiking paths and sights. Lake Kaltern is a famous holiday destination and is perfect for swimming and surfing in summer. The wine village of Tramin is a paradise for active travellers, connoisseurs and wine lovers.

We spent a weekend at the Traminer Hof with our club (15 people) – and on behalf of everyone, I can only say: absolutely recommended! The hotel is beautiful and is run with a noticeable amount of love. The entire staff is warm, attentive, and always in a good mood. The bar is fantastic – great cocktails and a cozy atmosphere – and the breakfast truly leaves nothing to be desired: plentiful, fresh, and simply the perfect way to start the day. An all-around successful package that we can recommend without compromise. We'll definitely be back!

We checked in for a week of biking and were absolutely thrilled. The host family and the service staff run the hotel with passion. You can feel it immediately upon arrival. Location - perfect on the Wine Route. Service - top-notch. Rooms - superb. Food - great selection, dinner menu - good selection, and portions absolutely sufficient.

This was my second time at the Traminerhof this year, and I have to say I'm a new regular. It's a very nice hotel with excellent service. The staff gets a 10 out of 10, and you won't find better food anywhere else. I already miss it. I'm looking forward to my next stay.

The hotel is definitely very good. The service is excellent, very good, and courteous; everyone is treated as equals, which the owners also exemplify – top-notch. The rooms are extremely clean (dogs are no problem either) and are only cleaned when you request it, so you won't be disturbed at all – top-notch. Breakfast and dinner were excellent and very delicious. The portions at dinner are manageable, but it's absolutely not a problem, and even welcome, if you want seconds (you can check this box when choosing your menu beforehand). You'll be well-filled. The spa area is very well-maintained. Whether it's the indoor pool or the sauna area, it's totally inviting. Some of the gym equipment could use an overhaul (the ergometer and exercise bike next door) – but that's unlikely to be a problem in the summer, given the outdoor options. The only criticism, which the hotel cannot influence, is that the local road directly adjacent to the hotel is busy and noisy, whether during meals, in the room (although it's inaudible with the window closed), or by the pool. This is a sports hotel, so it always feels a bit loud, and people make friends over meals or in the spa area. So you know what to expect. The clientele is mixed and very friendly. However, you have to get used to the fact that middle-aged e-bikers proudly watch videos of their "crazy" performances (on an e-bike) on a monitor right in front of the bar every evening. There probably won't be any e-bikers, but I couldn't spot any – it's also a trend in the Alps. However, this is my personal opinion and not really a review.

We spent five days there with our bikes. Everything was absolutely perfect! A washing area, tools, and bike storage, impeccable cleanliness, perfect service, and perfect food. We only booked breakfast, but because it was so great, we basically stayed at the hotel whenever we weren't out biking or hiking, where we treated ourselves to snacks by the pool and a fantastic dinner. The quality of the food was incredible—fresh honey from the honeycomb and figs from the garden were also available at breakfast… simply fantastic and highly recommended!
