Falkensteiner Hotel Antholz

The property is located in a magnificent setting, immersed in a peaceful and truly evocative landscape. At first glance, the hotel appears very well-maintained, and the rooms certainly deserve their 5-star rating: spacious, welcoming, and truly pleasant. That said, upon closer inspection, there are several aspects that a 4-star hotel should address better. On the first evening, dinner was unfortunately chaotic: poorly organized service, confusing orders despite the menu having been chosen upon arrival. The culinary offerings also leave some room for concern. The attempt to offer "gourmet" dishes leads to unconvincing choices that are far removed from the typical local cuisine one would expect to find in such a setting. Breakfast is better, although—compared to other establishments in the same category—it still falls short of expectations. The spa area, located next to the main entrance, could use some more insulation: to reach it, you pass by the reception and the front door, which is supposed to function as a double door with an air chamber, but, left open, lets cold air in all the time. The relaxation area with the fireplace also seems under-appreciated: the fireplace is always off, and you only discover after a while that you have to ask the staff to light it, when you'd expect it to be ready after dinner. The spa itself isn't bad if there aren't too many people, otherwise it feels crowded. It's a shame about the indoor and outdoor pools: the water is quite cold, and the outdoor pool was inaccessible during our stay due to a technical problem that the staff worked on all afternoon without success. In the Turkish bath, the ceiling showed obvious signs of flaking plaster, and the fan emitted a constant hissing noise, hardly compatible with an environment meant to promote silence and relaxation. In conclusion, our stay was not negative, but the structure would need to improve several aspects to fully reach the standards of a true 4-star hotel.

A beautiful hotel that makes you feel right at home from the moment you arrive. The peaceful location invites you to relax and unwind. The food is simply outstanding, prepared with great attention to detail, and there's something for everyone. This attention to detail is truly evident throughout the hotel. The warm, courteous, and genuinely attentive staff completes the wonderful stay. You don't just feel like a guest, but genuinely welcome. A place you'll want to return to. Highly recommended!

Overall, a good experience. We stayed in the older part of the hotel, and the room was still very spacious and modern, with a lovely terrace. The staff was young, friendly, and helpful. We had our dog with us, and both evenings they brought us ham from the restaurant in a bowl especially for him. The hotel's location is wonderful, just steps from Lake Antholz and half an hour from Braies. The wellness center receives the lowest rating, as it's a bit small compared to the number of guests the hotel can accommodate. We found ourselves unable to put our belongings down because all the loungers, both by the pool and in the various relaxation areas, were occupied. I also agree with the many comments regarding the pool water temperature, which is fine for swimming, but decidedly cool for soaking.

Very friendly staff, especially Jolanda at reception, who anticipated my every need. The hotel's location is fantastic. Extremely quiet, clean air, wonderful hiking opportunities.

We stayed at this property recently. Beautiful location. The spa was lovely, with a pool, sauna, and Turkish bath. We had one treatment a day for our entire stay. The spa staff were excellent and very kind. If you're planning on losing weight, don't choose this property because the food at the restaurant is excellent! The wait staff was also very friendly. We'll definitely be back.

Very nice people, highly recommended, very good cuisine

A fairytale hotel nestled in the woods and the Alps. It's located just minutes from Lake Anterselva and about 40 minutes from Lake Braies. The room was spacious and clean, with a direct view of the surrounding peaks and a large window with a sofa to enjoy the view. The staff was extremely kind and helpful: we arrived after reception closing time, but they were able to help us get into our room. The pool is very large and heated, with the option of stepping outside and enjoying the view. The sauna area is large and equipped with two saunas at different temperatures and a Turkish bath. The relaxation area is truly complete and caters to every need. It's truly a paradise for those seeking relaxation with their partner.

A great hotel, with plenty of amenities. The rooms aren't exactly new, but that doesn't bother us.
