Witches' Dance Bal dles Stries

This special summer festival combines Ladin tradition, mystical stories, and convivial get-togethers against a unique mountain backdrop. According to legend, witches and wizards once gathered beneath the rocks of the Peitlerkofel to dance around the fire and exchange old stories.

This mysterious atmosphere is brought back to life at the witch dance, when visitors embark on a journey into the world of myths and legends of the Dolomites.

A night full of myths and legends

The festival at the Würzjoch Pass begins in the afternoon and lasts long into the night. Music, performances, and an atmospheric backdrop under the starry sky accompany the evening. Witches and wizards roam the festival grounds, while games and activities for children and culinary offerings ensure a varied experience. Regional dishes and a good glass of wine invite you to enjoy a cosy evening.

For visitors from Alta Badia, a shuttle service is offered in the evening between various locations and the Würzjoch so that everyone can comfortably take part in the nighttime witchcraft.
