Hotel Elisabeth is located in a wonderfully peaceful setting, with views of Tyrol Castle and close to the Texel Group Nature Park. Our family has been running the hotel for three generations, focusing on a relaxed, feel-good atmosphere and culinary delights for connoisseurs. Just 2 km from the centre of Meran and 500 m from the Tappeiner Trail, the hotel is perfect for anyone who wants to discover nature and culture, the city and the mountains.

Relaxing Hideaway & excellent Cuisine

All of our comfortable rooms feature a balcony with a view, and some have been newly redesigned. Hotel Elisabeth also offers several barrier-free rooms and a wheelchair-accessible lift. As part of our half-board package, we spoil our guests with a varied breakfast buffet in the morning and a 4-course menu of their choice in the evening. When the weather is nice, our panoramic terrace invites you to enjoy and relax. As a green oasis, we have a sunbathing lawn with a solar-heated swimming pool and whirlpool.

Experiences from thermal baths to bike tours

There is a bus stop just 200 metres from Hotel Elisabeth, and active holidaymakers will find a beautiful selection of hiking trails in the surrounding area – from the Algund Waalweg canal trail to the Meran High Mountain Trail. The hotel is beautiful, and the service and cleanliness are first-class. Breakfast and the evening menu are excellent. The family who runs the hotel and the staff are very welcoming, and you feel right at home from the start, quickly losing track of time. This was our first time in South Tyrol, and we will definitely return to this hotel and recommend it to others. We were more than 100% satisfied.

We've been coming to the hotel for a very, very long time. It started with bus tours, and now we also bring bike trailers and bus tours to the Elisabeth. The customers are very enthusiastic, and word is getting around among our clientele. Our customers are saying, "Have you been there? You absolutely have to go!" I wish you continued success. We learned about Hotel Elisabeth through a friend's recommendation. It was an excellent choice for our motorcycle road trip through South Tyrol. The host family is very welcoming and always helpful. The hotel is well-located. The town of Merano is about an hour's walk away via a beautiful high-altitude trail. The rooms are well-equipped, as expected for a hotel of this class. The outdoor pool is perfect for cooling off on hot summer days. We highly recommend Hotel Elisabeth.

Welcoming, spotlessly clean, top-notch professionalism and kindness. Returned after a year, even better. The rooms were renovated with a spectacular bed, fully equipped, large and functional bathroom, excellent breakfast, extraordinary dinner, very kind staff, and an extraordinary reception. Located outside the center of Merano, amidst the meetings. A quiet and pleasant stay. This year we suffered from the heat at night, and the rooms without air conditioning weren't very comfortable, even though they were large and comfortable. The pool water is cold, and the hot tub doesn't work. Ping pong is no longer available, even though it's listed. It's a shame, as those were two things we would have liked. The food was well-cooked, and the owner and staff were very friendly.

We stayed at the Hotel Elisabeth for three nights with the Generali Silver Lions group and were, as rarely before, so incredibly satisfied with everything. The owners and all the hotel staff were extremely friendly, helpful, and even fun to boot. The five-course dinner was a perfect five for a three-star hotel—simply superb and absolutely delicious. The entire hotel was spotlessly clean and in such a beautiful location. Thank you for the wonderful stay and the warm farewell. We would love to come back. Best regards, Petra & Robert

We stayed at the Hotel Elisabeth from April 13th to 15th, 2026, as part of a bus tour. It is a very well-run hotel with great rooms, perfect service, and excellent food, including a superb breakfast and dinner buffet. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. We felt extremely comfortable at the hotel and will certainly return.

A very nice family-run hotel with excellent cuisine and very friendly and helpful staff. All rooms have balconies and fantastic panoramic views. Ideally located, making it easy to explore Merano and its surroundings on foot or by bus. Bernadette's sparkling drinks are unbeatable. 100% recommended!
