This year the Highland Games have been taking place since several years, this event becomes more popular. Reasons for this increase of popularity may be the impressive competitions, the many musclemen and the good-looking women or even the attractive supporting programme.
The participants have to compete in various disciplines, including trunk and stone throw, piggy-back run, archery and tug-of-war. So, they have not only to be strong and buff, but also speedy, deft and fair.
The Highland Games takes place in all kinds of weather; the entrance for fans and spectators is free and there is offered a varied programme with animation and pony trekking for children, good music and hearty dishes.
