Skigebied Watles
Het skigebied Watles is niet enorm groot, maar scoort wel met veel winterplezier voor het hele gezin, heel veel zonuren en een enorme keuze aan activiteiten. Met het Nordic Center Schlinig biedt het bovendien een langlauf- en biatloncentrum van internationale faam.
Watles, gelegen boven Malles Venosta, heeft het record aan zonuren onder de toch al zonovergoten skigebieden van de Zuid-Tirolse Skiarena. De skipas, geldig in drie landen– Italië, Zwitserland en Oostenrijk –, garandeert grensoverschrijdend skiplezier tussen Zuid- en Noord-Tirol, en ook verder zorgt Watles met zijn gevarieerde aanbod voor volop afwisseling.
Plezier, plezier, plezier
De bijna een kilometer lange freeride-pisteen het snowpark zijn een genot voor freestylers en snowboarders die van een uitdaging houden. Op de Family Fun Line vinden beginners en gevorderden trainingsmogelijkheden op verschillende niveaus en in de skikleuterschool Bubo Kinderpark zetten de allerkleinsten onder deskundige begeleiding hun eerste stapjes op ski’s.
Langlaufen en meer
Het Nordic Center Schlinig biedt als locatie voor internationale langlaufwedstrijden meer dan 15 kilometer aan uitstekend geprepareerde loipes. Maar niet alleen langlaufers komen aan hun trekken: Watles leent zich perfect voor sneeuwschoenwandelingen, winterwandelingen en skitochten – van rustig tot uitdagend, er is voor elk wat wils. De skischool Watles behoort tot de beste skischolen van Zuid-Tirol en is bekroond met het gouden certificaat voor kinderskischolen. De skileraren bieden groepslessen aan voor kinderen en beginners en privélessen voor iedereen die zijn of haar techniek wil perfectioneren.
