Om ook de winterse vakantieganger iets te bieden, heeft Merano een respectabel skigebied gekregen, dat met de klinkende naam Merano 2000 in een zonnige alpine holte onder de rotsachtige uitloper van de Ifinger is ontstaan. De sneeuwzekere pistes op ongeveer 2.000 m boven zeeniveau zijn gemakkelijk bereikbaar met de kabelbaan vanuit het kuuroord Merano en bevinden zich dan al midden in de actie.
Op 1.900 m boven zeeniveau wacht de bezoekers nog een andere attractie. De rodelbaan"Alpin Merano 2000" is het hele jaar geopend. Snelle afdalingen zijn aan de orde van de dag!
