Ballonvaren boven Zuid-Tirol
Zowel toen als nu dromen talloze mensen ervan om door de lucht te vliegen. Al in 1783 maakten de gebroeders Montgolfier deze droom waar: Met hun heteluchtballon maakten de twee Fransen de eerste bemande vlucht in de geschiedenis mogelijk. Vandaag de dag zijn ballonvaarten ook erg populair in Zuid-Tirol - geen wonder met deze adembenemende bergpanorama's.
In Toblach in het Hochpustertal vindt elk jaar in januari het internationale Dolomiti Balloon Festival plaats. Hier worden jong en oud betoverd: met spannende wedstrijden in de lucht of indrukwekkende vertoningen van de kleurrijke ballonnen op de grond. Een hoogtepunt is natuurlijk een vlucht over de Dolomieten.
Waar kan ik een ballonvaart maken?
Als je niet bij het festival in Toblach kunt zijn, hoef je je hoofd niet te laten hangen. Er zijn nu verschillende aanbieders die het hele jaar door ballonvaarten aanbieden in Zuid-Tirol - mits het weer meewerkt. Een van hen is Alberto Pasin. Hij organiseert ballonvaarten in het Hochpustertal die je niet snel zult vergeten.
