The legendary reign of King Laurin is always worth a visit; especially if you can explore the unique mountain landscape in good company, with music, games and culinary delicacies.

For this purpose also this year there is organized the traditional King Laurin hike, taking place every second Sunday in September. The popular walking-tour respectively alp festival always attracts numerous visitors – guests and locals, kids and adults – to come to Welschnofen/Karersee at the foot of the famous Mt. Rosengarten.

The King Laurin hike leads from alpine hut to alpine hut. Around Mt. Rosengarten the so-called alp weeks have a very long tradition, and they remind of the get-together of countrymen and shepherds after work.
