Hiking marathon Tru di Pra

The uniqueness of the route is the real protagonist of this half-marathon, which starts in the centre of Wengen and leads step by step through beautiful flowering meadows and along bubbling streams back to Wengen.

Along the route you will find magnificent viewpoints, idyllic monuments, beautiful spots for a souvenir photo, crystal clear water springs, a sulphur spring in Al Bagn, forests, excellent huts where you can enjoy the best of the local cuisine and much more. 

The walking half-marathon covers a distance of 25.8 km. For those who don't want to walk the whole distance, there is a convenient shuttle service that connects two stages. The total duration of the route, which involves a difference in altitude of around 1,000 metres, is 8 hours and 15 minutes. Along the route you will find information and help points, refreshment stations with local products, drinks and snacks and much more.

What equipment should you have with you?

Mountain or hiking boots, a first aid kit in your backpack and a water bottle to fill up at the refreshment stations, as well as appropriate clothing and a change of clothes are recommended.
