Of het nu Niedertal, Mittertal of Obertal is – Antholz is de perfecte vakantiebestemming voor bergsporters en natuurliefhebbers. Het natuurpark Rieserferner-Ahrn met imposante drieduizenders zoals de Hochgall (3.436 m) en de Wildgall (3.436 m) biedt een grote verscheidenheid aan bergtochten – van de veeleisende tocht naar de top voor ervaren bergbeklimmers tot de gezellige huttenwandeling voor het hele gezin.
Een bijzonder natuurjuweel helemaal aan het einde van het dal is het charmante Antholz-meer: er is een rondwandeling langs het meer met een natuurleerpad, en in de winter kan het meer, mits de ijslaag dik genoeg is, worden overgestoken door langlaufers en winterwandelaars.
Ook voor een fietsvakantie is Antholz bij uitstek geschikt: van de gezinsvriendelijke fietsroute door het Antholzertal via de uitdagende Rieserferner-ronde tot het mountainbikegebied Antholz Niedertal zijn er tochten en trails in verschillende moeilijkheidsgraden.

In de Zuid-Tirol Arena in Antholz vinden elke winter spannende wedstrijden plaats in het kader van de IBU-Wereldbeker. Antholz was ook al meerdere keren gastheer van wereldkampioenschappen biatlon en in 2026 vonden hier de biatlonwedstrijden plaats in het kader van Antholz2026. Al deze evenementen staan garant voor een geweldige combinatie van sportieve spanning, een sprookjesachtig berglandschap en een uitgelaten feeststemming.
Antholz is niet alleen een paradijs voor biatleten, maar ook voor andere wintersporters. Langlaufers kunnen genieten van uitstekend geprepareerde loipes van verschillende lengtes en ook rodelaars, skitoeristen en sneeuwschoenwandelaars komen hier volop aan hun trekken. Gezinnen en beginnende skiërs kunnen hun hart ophalen op de Riepenpiste in Antholz Mittertal. Een ruime keuze aan pistes in het skigebied Kronplatz is snel bereikbaar via het dalstation in het nabijgelegen Olang.
