Klimtuin Juval

Reinhold Messner, de wereldberoemde extreme bergbeklimmer, brengt de zomer door op kasteel Juval bij Naturns. En zijn naam zegt het al: de granieten rots waarop het kasteel staat is een meer dan waardige plek voor klimliefhebbers.

Klimmers kunnen tot drie hoogten klimmen en Reinhold Messner eer aan doen. De klimtuin Juval biedt gevarieerd klimmen en wordt aanbevolen voor veeleisende klimmers en voor gezinnen met kinderen.

Vanuit Naturns rijd je een paar kilometer in westelijke richting naar Val Venosta. Bij de ingang van het Val Senales rijzen links verticale granieten platen omhoog. Precies hier ligt de klimtuin Juval, een van de meest dankbare in de regio Merano.

De klimtuin is rustig gelegen aan de oever van de beek en biedt gneisroutes voor het hele gezin: van fijne 3's tot statige 8a's, de moeilijkheidsgraad reikt ver. De meeste routes zijn ongeveer 30 m lang, sommige kunnen worden uitgebreid tot twee of drie lengtes.

Het beste seizoen in de klimtuin Juval in de regio Merano is van april/mei tot de late herfst.
