Zuid-Tirools kastanje-avonturenpad
Het natuurontdekkingspad in Foiana boven Lana is een gemakkelijk te volgen rondwandeling die door schilderachtige kastanjebossen ten zuiden van Merano naar het Tisner middelgebergte voert. Op tien panelen, waarvan sommige interactief zijn, kunnen bezoekers alles te weten komen over de kastanje, kastanjebomen en de verschillende variëteiten.
Als je vanaf de kerk in Foiana vertrekt, loop je ongeveer 700 m over de Probst-Wieser-Weg en sla je bij het kruispunt rechtsaf naar het sportveld. Na het sportveld vestigt een manshoge kastanjeboom met stekelige kap de aandacht op de ingang van het kastanjepad. Volg nu de houten sculpturen en informatieborden.
Elk van de stations is gewijd aan een specifiek thema en brengt kennis over over geschiedenis, wetenschappelijke feiten en curiosa. Je kunt ook samen met je geliefden een aantal experimenten uitvoeren langs het pad en zo mooie en vermakelijke uren beleven tijdens een ontspannen wandeling.
In ongeveer een tot twee uur leer je alles over de cactusvrucht als gecultiveerde plant. De wandeling is gemakkelijk, maar goede schoenen worden aanbevolen.
