De idylle is perfect: geen auto's en geen lawaai in de wijde omtrek, maar alleen uitgestrekte alpenweiden, spitse bergtoppen en het gezelschap van vriendelijke bergvrienden, waaronder de gastheer van de hut.
Kleurrijke bloemen, weelderige, kleurrijke alpenweiden, diepe kloven, bizarre rotsen en rustieke alpenweiden. In de berghutten en berghutten van Zuid-Tirol blijven hectiek en stress thuis en het traditionele eten houdt lichaam en geest bij elkaar.
De meeste berghutten werden aan het einde van de 19e eeuw gebouwd - als toevluchtsoord voor bergbeklimmers. Hoewel ze aanvankelijk een beschermende functie hadden, zijn ze nu een populaire bestemming voor excursies en dienen ze als uitvalsbasis voor wandelaars, bergbeklimmers en skiërs.
De berghutten worden vaak beheerd door alpenverenigingen - Alpenverein Zuid-Tirol (AVS) en CAI (Club Alpino Italiano) - die ook zorgen voor de bijbehorende padfaciliteiten en ervoor zorgen dat de bergidylle behouden blijft.
