Kasteel Tirol in Dorf Tirol
Het kasteel, waarin tegenwoordig het Museum voor Regionale Geschiedenis is gevestigd, verkeert in uitstekende staat. De ringmuur, die al in 1100 werd gebouwd, is een van de oudste en best bewaarde vestingmuren die er bestaan.
De marmeren portalen uit de 12e eeuw, rijkelijk versierd met beelden en symbolen, behoren ook tot de origineelste creaties van de Romaanse kunst in Tirol. De kapel bevat 13e-eeuwse fresco's, een 14e-eeuwse kruisigingsgroep en het oudste Tiroolse glas-in-lood.
Het Museum voor Cultuur- en Regionale Geschiedenis houdt zich echter niet alleen bezig met de middeleeuwen, maar is ook gewijd aan de bewogen geschiedenis van Zuid-Tirol en toont steeds wisselende, interessante speciale tentoonstellingen.
